Privately owned, professionally managed and recently renovated La Reserve is indisputably one of Praslin’s most distinguished Hotels.

Two contrasting restaurants provide guests with a wide variety of choice.

The Jetty Restaurant
The Jetty Restaurant gives one of the most memorable dinner experiences in all of the Seychelles.
Guests watch the lights of anchored yachts in the bay and the natural aquarium of the jostling fish below as our chef creates delectable dished from freshly caught fish.
Creole barbeque rich in spices to a wide ranging international menu from an open kitchen.

The Pool Restaurant
Guests can order from their chaise-longue fresh fish, grilled meat or a salad from the Pool Grill, an ideal spot for lunch.
A great variety of local and international dishes  are available everyday from the fine A La Carte Menu.
Local chef and fresh produce you just have to experience for yourself.

La Reserve Hotel has a NO SMOKING ban in both Jetty Restaurant and Pool Restaurant. The bars and arrival lounge remain smoking areas.
Cultural Events
Seychelles culture derives from three continents (Africa, Asia & Europe). This has greatly influenced our dances and music.
La Reserve's entertainment program provides the opportunity to experience that.
Local musicians play a mixture of traditional and international music three times a week joined by a group of traditonal 'moutya' and 'sega' dancers.

Gym
If you are one of those people who likes to keep in trim whilst on holiday then La Reserve has a well equipped and private gym ideal for your use.
Our air conditioned fitness centre is available to resident guests of the hotel. It is unsupervised and we recommend you check with a Doctor before undertaking any new exercise regime.

Swimming Pool
La Reserve boasts the largest swimming pool in Seychelles.
It encompasses everything a pool should have: a children’s pool, an area for the elderly people, a lounge and bar in the middle of the pool and an area for experienced swimmers. Two foot bridges cross over the pool and the featured buildings are thatched with palm leaves.

Activities
La Reserve offers a variety of exciting activities for its guests:
snorkelling at Anse Petite Cour Bay, luxury swimming pools, scuba diving courses with qualified PADI diving instructors, cycling and golf.
Breakfast and dinner are served in the jetty restaurant overlooking the bay.

Athena Charters will still be based at La Reserve and will still provide a variety of payable excursions to the guests with departures directly from the hotel beach.

The program and prices is currently being revised so please contact Mr Jacques Morel on athenacharters@lareserve..sc for any additional information

Lunch is served at the swimming pool grill.
An old colonial style villa with a terrace on the edge of the bay,  originally built at the turn of the century, houses the bar.
It is also utilised for the complimentary afternoon tea and evening entertainment.
Complimentary facilities provided to guests include a weekly “sundown cruise” and a day cruise to the island of Curieuse and St Pierre.
Snorkelling equipment, canoes and entertainment music program three times a week.

Included in the Rates

American Buffet Breakfast (on B&B) plus Dinner (on Half-Board)
Complimentary Afternoon tea (including cakes and sandwiches)
Free use of snorkeling equipment, canoes and pool/beach towels.
Free Weekly Nature tour (Thursday)
Free entrance to  Curieuse / St Pierre  marine park.
Live entertainment 3 times a week.

Precautions regarding shark attacks.
Please be advised that a temporary ban on entering the water in our region has been issued by the Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority following two fatal shark attacks at Anse Lazio
that happened in the month of August 2011. Shark nets have been installed at Anse Lazio and Anse Kerlan and swimming outside of these nets is strictly prohibited.

La Reserve has also fitted a small exclusion net towards the end of the beach for the added safety of our guests. After recent discussions with the Local Authorities and the Kwazulu Natal Sharks board in South Africa (who inspected the bay), we have been advised that guests can swim and snorkel on the outside of the netted area but must keep well inside the reef in shallow water. You will find some recommendations made by the Kwazulu Natal sharks board in the guest guide in your room.
