Villa Cote Sud

Coté Sud is situated on the most southern point of the island of Mahé, the biggest of the granite islands. This part of the island has lush green vegetation still left in its state of wilderness which adds to its charm. The properties are 30 minutes driving from the airport and 40 minutes from the capital Victoria.

Coté Sud has the great advantage of being near the most beautiful beaches of Mahé (68 altogether) like Anse Intendance (Mahé's jewel) with its white sandy beach of 1.5km, Anse Cachée and Anse Corail - the most secluded, Police Bay - dramatic yet peaceful, Anse Takamaka, just romantic, Petit Anse - exclusively reserved, Anse Soleil, very harmonious and wild, Anse Forbans where beauty continues in the waters ... a submerged garden hosting hundreds of colourful fish and corals and the shy and hidden Anse Capucins which tends to be forgotten, is just out of this world but within your reach.

Coté Sud is a amall private villa and guest cottages which have been decorated by the owners themselves with refined touches and finishes both internally and externally blending it beautifully with the surroundings. The villa was built for themselves and only recently put on the rental market. Hand-made decorated Italian tiles have been used to decorate the modern kitchens, whilst beautiful mosaics embellish the bathrooms walls. Special techniques have been used for the flooring alternating the Italian "cotto" tiles with the local and prestigious " takamaka " wood carved in cement giving it a singular effect.

The garden maintains as always the fragrance of the colourful local flowers and of the exotic fruit trees like mango, paw-paw, avocado, pineapple lemon and many others; what is most special is that the extraordinary palm, " coco-de-mer ", so rare to find on Mahé set its roots at Coté Sud which is such an oasis of beauty and serenity.

GLI ARANCI the main villa  is 255m2 and has 2 double rooms and 1 single Click for Photos

It  consists of a wide roofed veranda with a dining table, 6 chairs and sofa set; spacious living room with antique armchairs,  table, wooden settee, wall sofas, TV/Video; and library shelf..The kitchen features a large fridge/freezer, built-in dish-washer, washing machine, electric cooker with oven, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery and all necessary equipment. There is also a good stock of linen in the villa.
The main bedroom has a king size bed and an adjacent veranda (where you can watch the sunset) furnished with 2 armchairs and 1 table. The main bath-room (4x4m) is equipped with 2 washbasins, angular bath tub, shower, bidet and WC;
The second room has a double bed with adjacent bathroom with wide tub, internal shower and wash basins all decorated with mosaic gems and furnished with the best Italian products.  There is an ensuite living room with one sofa bed, 2 chairs & table.
The flooring is of wood in the living, dining and bedroom – the rare “Takamaka” - whilst the rest of the floors are of Italian cotto tiles.
All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and aircon as well as Wireless Internet (WI-FI). The swimming pool is at our guests’ disposition.

 
FIORI DI MAGGIO is an independent bungalow of 110m2 which has 1 double room and 1living room with 2 sofas which can turn into single beds. Click for Photos

The sitting room leading onto an open veranda is furnished with 2 sofa beds, coffee table, a cabinet, a shelf-library, TV and video. and a granite rock carved in the walls;
A double room with adjacent bathroom fitted with double shower and wash-basins, bidet and WC. The bedroom window opens on the veranda and on the gardens.  A covered roof veranda with a square table decorated with hand-painted ceramics and four chairs leads to the kitchen furnished with a fridge, an electric cooker, a micro-wave oven, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery.
The flooring is of Italian cotto tiles. There is a good selection of linen and hot water is also available.
All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and aircon as well as Wireless Internet (WI-FI). The swimming pool is at our guests’ disposition.
 

IL GIRASOLE  - 60m2  Click for Photos

The cobbled stone alley of the garden of Coté Sud leads you to the Gazebo decorated with a table and four chairs and a stone barbecue where you can choose to have your meals or spend some "happy hours". Climbing a few steps with a wooden balustrade you will reach Il Girasole, a studio overlooking the green lush vegetation of the property and also the well kept exotic garden. The bedroom is spacious and well decorated with a double bed, a "dormeuse" at its foot, closets, a small fridge, a shelf-library, TV, a safe and ceiling fan. The floor is a mosaic of precious Takamaka wood. The en-suite bathrooms has a bathtub, double wash basins decorated with gems of mosaic giving the room a rare luminous effect; the same style continues on the walls of the shower and that of the bidet and toilet. The floor is of Italian cotto files. There is hot water and a good choice of linen. The bungalow has a big covered terrace furnished with 2 lounge chairs and cushions, a coffee table. The kitchen is also located on the covered veranda and has 2 electric cooking plates, 1 oven/grill, toaster, electric kettle and   it is well equipped.

 The villa, the bungalow and the studio are all fully equipped.  They are located at 1 km from the Intendance Beach and 500 metres from the famous 5 star resort Banyan Tree and T-Club where guests con go for dinner /Spa and lazing on the beach.
In the vicinity there are other nice beaches and small restaurants on the beach. The Supermarket and the Fish and Vegetable market are both also very close to the Property Coté Sud for your shopping.
