Location
Nestled in the BEAU VALLON BAY, the most famous beach of Mahé, the Coral
Strand Hotel is only 15 km away from the international Airport of Mahé
and 5 km from Victoria, the exotic capital of the Seychelles.
The hotel is an international meeting point and the cultural centre of
Mahé for visitors from all over the world
It has just been announced that
the hotel has recently been sold to the russian Guta group
and their
Hotel division is operating under “Savoy Hotels and Resorts”
The hotel will close during the month of May 2008 for some refurbishment.
It is expected that a further closure of at least 6 months during 2009
will be required for complete refurbishment towards a high standard.
Accommodation
The
Coral Strand Hotel offers 130 recently refurbished rooms in the following
categories:
- Standard rooms: double rooms with king-size double or twin beds
- Superior rooms either Mini Suites: maisonette style, bed room and
sitting room connected with an artistic spiral stair-case
or Mini Suites: bed room, sitting room
or Family rooms with connecting doors
All rooms are equipped with bathtub/shower, WC, international telephone,
radio, electronic personal safe, hair dryer and are individually
air-conditioned.
The lift connects the ground floor up to level 4 and most of the rooms
have balconies facing the sea or the mountains

Island Trader:
is the Main Restaurant with a high ceiling and a view of the Indian
Ocean, including Silhouette and North Island. Breakfast Buffet is
served between 07.00 and 09.30, a daily changing Buffet-Dinner is
served from 19.00 to 21.30 hrs
The Bistro is located directly at the beach and opens
from 12.00 to 21.30 hrs. with à la carte service.
Vegetarian dishes and children menus are served on request
Mahek: A fully air-conditioned Indian Gourmet Restaurant,
featuring a rich selection of kebabs, tandoori delicacies, exotic
curries and biryanis served in traditional antique style service
ware.
The “show cooking kitchen” allows our guests to watch the chefs
while they prepare delicious dishes
Pool Bar:
The refurbished 2-storey Pool Bar offers wonderful ocean
views, featuring a fantastic sunset behind Silhouette Island. The
bar serves drinks and exotic cocktails from noon to midnight, being
an informal meeting place for locals and guests from overseas
Silhouette Lounge:
Complimentary afternoon tea and coffee is served from 16.00
to 17.00 hrs at the Silhouette Lounge, featuring selection of cakes
and crêpes at a reasonable price for our hotel guests |

boutique next to the reception sells souvenirs, beautiful hand-made ship

all diving arrangements and tours conducted by internationally experienced
dive instructors. The first hour (trial) is complimentary to our hotel
guests

Water
Sports: Non-motorised water sport
equipment is free of charge, like body board, windsurfing hobby catamaran
and snorkelling
Motorised water-sport equipment

water-skiing, paragliding, banana boat or jet skis is located at the
beach in front of the hotel. A discount of 10% will be granted to our hotel
guests
Deep Sea Fishing:
You can have your catches from the sea prepared by our chefs.

bottom boat:
Teddy & Lesley are also in charge of the excursions with
the Glass Bottom boat

Interesting excursions through the rain forest,

Strand Hotel’s computerised telescope on the roof-top of the hotel provides

Ayurveda:
This ancient system of Medicine provides an
excellent opportunity for regeneration and recovery. The Coral Strand Hotel
offers in co-operation with Dr. Chetty’s “LeNiol Health Resort” an exclusive
Ayurveda program. Therapies are adapted individually to each guest. The
Health Resort is situated some 300m above the Coral Strand Hotel, surrounded
by a tropical forest and with a fabulous panoramic view of the Indian Ocean
Handicapped guests have no problem
to reach all facilities of the hotel.
There are no steps on the ground floor to the restaurant or the pool area.
