DIVING INFORMATION
All information given below is for general information only and can change

Open
daily from 8.00 am till 4.00 pm.
Diving
Times:
Dive 1: 9.00 (qualified divers)
Dive 2: 12.00 (beginners - qualified)
Dive 3: 14.30 (beginners - qualified , minimum 3 divers on request only)
Resort
course:
9.30 (1 pool lesson + 1 sea
dive . No certification)
No resort courses on Sundays
Note:
All bookings must be made 24 hours in advance at the dive centre, or call
ext.13.
Courses
offered : (International certification)
n PADI
open water diver course: theory classes, 4-5 pool lessons, 4 training
dives + 2 pleasure dives, Final written
exam.
Duration 4 to 5 days. Includes equipment,
registration, logbook.
n PADI
advanced course: 1 deep dive, 1 navigation dive, 3 optional dives.
Duration 3
days. Includes equipment and registration.
n PADI
medic first aid: 1 day course. Includes registration.
n
Padi rescue diver course: 4 days long. Includes equipment
and registration.
n
CMAS 1 star diver course: theory, 4-5 pool lessons, 5 sea
dives.
Duration
4-5 days. Include equipment, registration, log-book.

PADI referral:

days. Includes equipment, log-book, registration.

Note that PADI courses can be done in french, english, german, and
italian.

The
Boats:

boats are equipped with medic first aid box, life jackets, portable phone,
oxygen, drinking water, safety line with buoy.

Diving
Sites:
n
Cathedrale: 27 m deep. Is well-known for the beauty of its rock formation. Crayfish, soldier fish,
catfish, morays, etc…. rated 4 stars.
n
Serpent: 26 m deep. Is a small reef in the sand. A
photographer’s paradise. Abundance of moray eels, scorpion fish,
stonefish, soles, shrimps, stingrays,
etc…. rated 5 stars.
n
Tug 2: 20 m deep. Small wreck in the sand. Very rich in
Stonefish, lionfish, trumpet, big-eyed fish, snappers, surgeons, etc…..
rated 3 stars.
n
Park-Keiser: 33 m - 40 m deep. A wreck close by a small
reef. Batfish, porcupine fish, big snappers, schools of squirrel
fish, etc… rated 3 stars.
n
Suisse: 25 m deep. Is a reef with a lot of small holes and 2
arches. Nice landscape. rated 3 stars.
n
and many more such as: Manioc (42 m), Canyon (33 m), l’Eveille
(28 m), Bambou (30 m), Aquarium (18 m),
Madras (60 m), L’herbe (48 m), Pat (28 m),
etc….
Note that maximum depth are mentioned here.
General
Rules:
n
All qualified divers are requested to produce their certification
card and logbook for proof of qualification and experience
prior to going on a dive.
n
In case a diver has a certification card and no logbook, he will be
required to make a check-out dive in the pool or on a shallow dive,
depending on his certification level.
n
A diver who has not dived within a year will be requested to make a
refresher dive in the pool, prior to going out at sea.
n
All divers or beginners are requested to fill in an Indemnity and
Release form, as well as a Medical statement.
n
In case of any previous diving accident, or surgery, or any medical
history concerning asthma, heart problems, diabetes, etc…. the diver may
be required to have a medical certificate from a diving doctor, stating
that he is fit for diving.
n
It will be at the discretion of the instructor to decide whether a
diver can dive on deeper sites or not.
n
Note that in any case, it will be for the diving instructor to make
the final decision, whether a diver is fit or not to take part in any
diving activities.
n
Note that the minimum
age for diving activities is 12 years old, as defined in the PADI
standards.
