Trou aux Biches is by far the most sought after beach resort in Mauritius. It owes its popularity with discerning regular visitors mainly owing to its safe bathing for children, perfect conditions for snorkeling (either in its lagoon or along its reefs), and its fine silver sand. Although these amenities are strictly for the use of hotel residents, overseas visitors are usually welcome.
