Established for over 14 years, Sportfisher now prides itself on being
one of the most professional and well equipped deep-sea fishing charter
companies on the island. It started off as a one-boat show by my husband,
Benoit, and has been moulded over the years by his love and dedication for
boats, sea and people into the respected and esteemed organisation that it
is today.

Our office and jetty are located on the water's edge of the Sunset
Boulevard waterfront shopping mall in Grand Baie, which is a bustling
village situated on the northern point of the island. Here one will come
across fine shops and boutiques, restaurants and a range of accommodation
to suit and cater for everyone's taste and budget.
We fish mainly from the northern coastline, near the outlying islets
where there are superb ocean drop-offs. A strike may occur within 25
minutes after departure from our jetty. We concentrate on Blue and Black
Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo and various
Shark including Hammerhead, Mako, Black Fin and White Fin. A Thresher
Shark was also seen on our scale. (See photo in side panel).
Depending on the month or season, our skippers and boats are rigged
and ready for all types of species of game fish. There are 3 crew members
per boat: 1 skipper, and two crew.
