Private Overnight Catamaran Charter Cruise

For a truly unforgettable tropical experience, we offer private overnight sail charters aboard a brand new and very spacious catamaran for a maximum of two couples or a family of 4 or 5.
As well as cruising along the beautiful shorelines of Mauritius, swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear waters, searching for dolphins and whales, sport fishing for dorado or tuna, bird-watching at Round and Serpent Islands, and hiking on the magnificent offshore islets that dot the country’s north, you will have the wonderful experience of a night aboard a magnificent catamaran moored in a peaceful lagoon, exquisite dawn views of Mauritius’ spectacular central mountain chain, a beautiful sunrise and as well as time to explore secluded islands all on your own.
Your private charter is customized to your wishes. Once you have selected the charter option that suits you (see below), you can decide where to go and when to go, in consultation with your captain. The yacht is all yours!
Our catamarans are custom-built for comfort, speed and stability, and their large open space, bar facility, top-of-the-line music stereo system and tasteful music collection make for great socialising and relaxation. The large sundeck areas in particular provide an exceptional experience. They each have two private double guest cabins with en suites and 2 single berths which are reserved for the crew. Full catering as well as self or shared catering options is available.
Option 1: Depart 16h30 & return 09h00 the following day (1 night)
This private charter option combines our romantic sunset cruise with an overnight stay aboard, including the chance to discover the Northern Isles in complete tranquillity. You will sail at a leisurely pace for about one hour aboard a magnificent catamaran, first across the beautiful turquoise-coloured waters of Grand bay and then towards the spectacular sea cliffs of Gunner’s Quoin and Flat Island.
As the sky begins to change from crimson to pastels, your captain will steer the catamaran into a wonderful crystal clear lagoon shared by Gabriel Island and Flat Island. These two islands are Government-declared Nature Reserves that shelter a number of rare and endangered species. They are also Mauritius’ most idyllic holiday destinations, and for one peaceful night they will be your own private secluded domain. Return to Grand Bay the following morning.
Option 2: Depart 09h00 & return 09h00 the following day (1 day & 1 night)
This charter option combines a full-day cruise with a romantic overnight stay aboard. From Grand Bay, you will be able to explore either the northern or western coast line of Mauritius, before heading towards the northern islets of Gabriel Island and Flat Island for the night.
If you choose to go south we will cruise past the high sea cliffs of Albion and its historical lighthouse, and as far as Tamarin for a wild encounter with a resident dolphin population. On the way there (or back) there is a high probability of encountering sperm whales (a resident species), humpback whales (in season -- between June and November) and other dolphin pods. This cruise also offers superb opportunities for snorkelling on this cruise We will also You will also have many opportunities to snorkel among a multitude of colourful reef fish, notably in the wonderful Turtle Bay Marine Park in Balaclava. Your cruise can also include a stopover at the Caudan Waterfront for souvenir shopping or a tour of Port-Louis' main historical sites.
If you choose to head north instead, we will cruise past Cap Malheureux
and the many wonderful coves that dot the northern coastline before eventually
veering east towards Amber Island and its large and well-preserved mangrove
garden. This coastline is particularly rugged and largely uninhabited due to its
relative inaccessibility. On the other hand it is frequented by many traditional
fishermen and their colourful wooden sailing boats. From Amber Island, we will
veer west towards the northern Isles, describing a wide circle that will first
take you to Serpent Island and Round Island, two protected natural sanctuaries
inhabited by rare bird species (some of them endemic) including the Round Island
Petrel, Wedge-tailed Shearwater, Red-tailed Tropic Bird, White-tailed Tropic
Bird, Sooty tern, Brown noddy and Lesser noddy. After a unique bird-watching
experience, we will then head back south, around Pigeon Rock and into the lagoon
separating Gabriel Island and Flat Island where you will spend the night before
heading back to Grand bay the next morning.
You may also choose to head directly to Gabriel Island and spend the day exploring this wonderful natural refuge and taking advantage of our many facilities on the island.
Option 3: Depart 09h00 & return 17h00 the following day (2 days & 1 night)
This is a charter cruise option that allows the discovery of the entire western and northern coast of Mauritius at a leisurely pace with the added unique experience of a wonderful night aboard a sailing catamaran. Dolphin watching in Tamarin, visit of the Caudan Waterfront, snorkelling in Turtle Bay Marine Park, cruising to Amber Island, bird-watching at Round Island and Serpent Island, and hiking (or just relaxing!) on Flat Island and Gabriel Island – with this private charter cruise you can see it and do it all.
Your night aboard:
Your catamaran will be moored for the night in the peaceful lagoon separating Gabriel Island and Flat Island – two Government-declared Nature Reserves best known for their pristine white sandy beaches, coral gardens and spectacular coastal scenery but also protecting a number of rare and endangered species. You will have ample opportunities to set foot on these two idyllic islands and explore their natural habitats. Since your catamaran will most likely be the only vessel moored in the lagoon at night, you will have these islands all to yourselves!
The catering is a tantalising combination of the finest produce and fresh delectable cuisine. The dining area of the boat allows for fabulous 360 degree views. From your catamaran you will have stunning views of Round Island and Serpents Island, as well as the rugged Moka Mountain Chain which forms the backbone of Mauritius’ hinterland. After dinner, you will probably want to sit on the large deck area to watch the moon rise and gaze at the million stars that suddenly appeared from nowhere. The only sound you will hear by then is the water lapping against the hull of the boat. Your captain will prepare his special star gazing drinks for you, before bidding you a good night sleep.
If you can rouse yourself from your sleep after an incredibly peaceful night, the sunrise on the water will be a beautiful way to start the morning. While the crew prepares your breakfast, you will have time to take a morning dip among the multitude of colourful reef fish that inhabit the lagoon, or go for another exploratory hike on Gabriel Island or Flat Island.
After a hearty breakfast, your crew will brief you on the journey ahead before sailing off.
