Isla Mauritia

If you like old rigged sailing ships then this trip is for you.

This excursion offers you not only the natural beauties of Mauritius: you have also the great possibility to explore this unique boat in all its details.

This 1852 built merchant navy boat brings nostalgic memories of history books and adventure films.

Your trip starts with a captain`s welcome during which he will inform you about the day’s program. The ship will leave the jetty of Grand Bay at 09:30 in a northwesterly direction towards “Carpenters Bay”. There you can enjoy a swim in the wonderful glimmering water or snorkel and admire the fascinating underwater world.

After having a delicious Creole food, the boat crew will perform the rhythmical and rousing national music – the Sega.

You will be back in Grand Bay at about 16:45 where this most fascinating day will come to an end.

The standard cruises take place on Wednesday and Saturday.
Meeting point at their jetty, where the passengers will be transferred by tender boats to "Isla Mauritia".
