- The ‘Ganges’ of the island, the most important religious site for the Hindu community. The sacred lake is nestled in an indigenous forest.

10:40 - 11:00  Visit of the Black River Gorges

- Forests home to 150 varieties of plants and 9 endangered species of birds. Stop at a view point to admire the gorges and the chain of mountains of Black River.

11:10 - 12:00  Visit of Chamarel

- Volcanic coloured earth dunes forming beautiful patterns of color in the exposed hillside. When mixed, the colored earths eventually settle into separate layers.

12:30 - 13:45  Lunch at Restaurant Le Batelage

14:00- 15:30   Visit the Crocodile Park

- Crocodile farm nestled in a tropical reserve which is home to 500 tortoises, a variety of other animal species (fruitbats, monkeys, mangooses etc), indigenous plants and freshwater streams.
