Overview
Villa Petrel  occupies the ground-floor of a duplex facing the beautiful sandy beach and turquoise lagoon of Trou-d’Eau Douce, charming fishing village on the east coast of the island. In proximity are a few restaurants, a supermarket as well as retails shops of local character (5-10 minutes on foot). A grocer’s shop is 50 m from the property. Banks and doctor are 20 minutes away, the airport is 1 hour by car and so is Port-Louis, the capital.

Interior

The lounge and dining-room give on to a furnished open terrace with superb views of the lagoon and direct access to the beach. The main bedroom has air-con, a double bed, an en suite shower-room/wc as well as its own terrace with superb sea views and direct beach access. Bedroom 2 has a ceiling fan and 2 single beds. Separate shower-room/wc. Equipped kitchen.

Fridge-freezer, 4 electric plates, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, coffee-machine. Telephone, radio-cassette, BBQ and sunloungers.

Staff
Maid service (Anita) is available from 8:30 to 12:00 every day (except Sundays and bank holidays).

 Neighbourhood
Activities nearby include deep-sea fishing, Water World, windsurfing, kite surfing, diving, snorkelling, excursions by catamaran to the small islands in the North or to GRSE Waterfall and Ile aux Cerfs which is well known for its beautiful beaches, swimming, gastronomic restaurant and professional 18-hole golf course. Taxi-boats are also available for day-trips to this enchanting little island.  For golf amateurs, there is an internationally known 18-hole golf course at nearby Belle-Mare Plage Hotel where the Mauritius Golf Open is held every year.
