Trou aux Biches is by far the most sought after beach resort in Mauritius. It owes its popularity with discerning regular visitors mainly owing to its safe bathing for children, perfect conditions for snorkelling (either in its lagoon or along its reefs), and its fine silver sand. The proximity of the 4-star Beachcomber "Trou aux Biches Village Hotel" and independent boat houses is certainly a plus. Their amenities include water and other sports (water-skiing, paragliding, snorkelling, sailing, tennis, golf etc), several restaurants and a casino. Although hotel amenities are strictly for the use of hotel residents, overseas visitors are also usually welcome. Another useful local amenity is Popo Store (a small but well stocked grocery store where you can find practically everything from fresh French baguettes to the best wines).

The hotel has 16 Suites, including 14 standard , 6 with sea views and 8 looking out onto the gardens.
All rooms are en-suite, spacious (55m²) and comfortable, and each has its own terrace or balcony.
All rooms are also air-conditioned and equipped with a hairdryer, safe, television and telephone, as well as a kitchenette.
Up to 2 children can share parents’ accommodation and interconnecting suites are also available.

The latter also has a mezzanine which can accommodate 2 beds for children.

The public areas are warm and welcoming with a reception desk, restaurant, bar and swimming pool.
Wifi internet access is provided throughout the hotel and a computer is also available at Reception to access the internet.

All suites have direct access to Trou aux Biches’ renowned white, sandy beach. The swimming in the lagoon here is some of the best in Mauritius.
The Sakoa is approximately 20 minutes by car from Port Louis, 5 minutes from Grand By and 1¼ hours from the airport.

The restaurant

The restaurant borders the swimming pool, with delightful views out to sea. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and specialities include seafood and local dishes. An a la carte menu offers guests a wide choice and a set menu is also often available.

The bar serves a wide variety of cocktails, as well as wines, spirits and fruit juices, and is a particularly delightful spot at sunset.

Activities

Kayaks and pedal boats are available for guest use, free-of-charge, and other water sports activities can be organised from the beach.

For the ultimate in relaxation and well-being, appointments can be made at reception for a masseuse to visit.
