Trou aux Biches is by far the most sought after beach resort in Mauritius. It owes its popularity with discerning regular visitors mainly owing to its safe bathing for children, perfect conditions for snorkelling (either in its lagoon or along its reefs), and its fine silver sand. The proximity of the 5-star Beachcomber Group "Trou aux Biches Village Hotel" is certainly a plus. Its amenities include water and other sports (water-skiing, paragliding, snorkelling, sailing, tennis, golf etc), several restaurants and a casino. Although these amenities are strictly for the use of hotel residents, overseas visitors are usually welcome. Another useful local amenity is Popo Supermarket (a well stocked grocery store where you can find practically everything from fresh French baguettes to the best wines).

sun-downing cruise by catamaran,
sea cruise by catamaran to the Northern Islands, Coin de Mire, l’Ile Plate
or l’Ilot Gabriel.
In Grand’Baie: underwater excursion in submarine, skin-diving, or shopping
in smart boutiques of Sunset Boulevard.
Nature lovers should not miss the visit to the SSR Botanical Garden in
Pamplemousses.
Others may prefer an exciting night at the casino in Trou aux Biches.
