West Coast
Further South on the West coast one reaches Tamarin, with its new Tamarina Golf Course, and popular with those looking for exhilarating surfing, then Riviere Noire long known as the hub of big game fishing where one holidays at a slower pace, before reaching the coast of Petite Riviere Noire where there are a few appealing properties with pool in quiet regions on the beach but more than a km from the main road. Further South still is Le Morne with its several beach hotels and Golf Course at the Paradis & Dinarobin hotels. This coast is dryer than the north coast and generally not yet spoilt by tourism and enjoys an all year round warm climate Also to be noted that no less than 2 well stocked supermarkets (European style) are now operating on this stretch of coast.

Le Jardin des Salines

Built along the beach of a large family estate off the beaten track (1 km from the main road) on this fabulous peninsula close to Black River and Le Morne are 7 modern luxury villas with private pool, located far enough from each other to provide a high level of privacy. They are professionally managed and benefit from 24/7 security. We have visited them and fully endorse their choice as a quiet, safe and relaxing holiday place. Activities such as kite-surfing in Le Morne Beach or diving in Flic en Flac are very popular. A rental car is highly desirable to fully appreciate this marvellous region.

Designed with a modern fully-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a study cum extra single room, a spacious living area that opens onto a covered veranda and pool terrace overlooking the bay with a magnificent sea view.

Each villa consists of :

Master Bedroom: King-size four-poster bed with mosquito net, spacious en-suite bathroom with open-roof shower cubicle, double washbasin, toilet, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, digital safe and walk-in wardrobe. Room leads out onto a sea-facing veranda.

Second Bedroom: Twin beds pushed together to make a double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Room opens to a sea view.

Third Bedroom: King-size bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, built-in dressing area, air-conditioning and ceiling fan.

Study : single bed, air-conditioning and ceiling fan.
