Trou aux Biches is by far the most sought after beach resort in
Mauritius. It owes its popularity with discerning regular visitors mainly owing to its
safe bathing for children, perfect conditions for snorkelling (either in its
lagoon or along its reefs), and its fine silver sand. Its amenities include water
and other sports (water-skiing, paragliding, snorkelling, sailing, etc),
several restaurants and a casino. A useful local amenity is Popo Supermarket (a small but well stocked grocery store where you can find practically
everything from fresh French baguettes to the best wines).
Pointe aux
Piments
is within a mile
or so going south along the coastal road towards Turtle Bay. Pointe aux Piments
Beachfront Villlas is a modern cluster of beachfront spacious duplex villas and
apartments around a large pool.
There is a boutique hotel next door but one -The Veranda Pointe aux Biches
Resort & Spa - with a lovely restaurant, spa and a beautiful swimming beach. The
beach directly in front of the PAP Beachfront villas is a protected marine
conservancy and so is ideal for snorkelling. There is one restaurant within
walking distance. Cabs and busses run frequently and a taxi man services the
complex. Pointe aux Piments is right next to Trou aux Biches and is a quieter
part of the island - not as congested as Grand Bay which is only a 15 minutes
car ride away. We have had families saying that the complex is ideal as it is
compact enough to keep an eye on children without losing privacy

Maid is able to cook if required at a supplement payable directly to her
