Grand Bay & Pereybere - Grand Bay, the main resort of Mauritius is the one "must see" beach village. With its numerous hotels and bars, specialist cuisine restaurants and snacks, fashion boutiques etc as well as a host of tropical resort amenities such as big game fishing, outer-islands trips, under-water walking etc, Grand Bay is indeed a very popular attraction and a must for visitors. At night, Grand Bay becomes truly alive and activity does not die down under the early hours of the morning. Only a couple of miles further north along the coast lies the village of Pereybere with its very popular public beach. It is an area where property rentals are inexpensive, often offering standard budget accommodation and guest houses. The beach itself is as good if not better than Grand Bay and seems to attract a larger proportion of the younger generation.

Description

Well appointed 4-bedroom villa nestled in a tropical garden overlooking the bay of Grand Bay, on the North coast of the island. This villa is located on the lagoon, in the heart of a family domain of 10 hectares. All the neighbouring villas within the domain are occupied by the owners, all members of the same family, adding to the exclusive cachet and security of this well maintained and very desirable villa.

The main bedroom has splendid sea views and direct access to the garden and beach. The three other bedrooms have direct access to the swimming pool. This villa offers the opportunity of spending time in a calm and relaxed environment whilst still being within close proximity to the resort of Grand Bay (5 minutes by car) with its variety of restaurants, cafes and the chic boutiques of Sunset Boulevard.

Accommodation

Main Villa

The spacious living-room is elegantly furnished with rattan sofas and colourful cushions, writing-desk, coffee table, floor lamp, plasma TV (satellite channels), DVD, hi-fi and ceiling fan. One end opens on to the garden which leads directly to the beach. On the other end it leads on to the swimming pool with a large terrace area where alfresco meals can be taken.
An additional living-room with air-conditioning opens directly onto the front garden offering delightful sea views. It is furnished with sofas with soft tones, a coffee table and table lamps. A sideboard, dining table and 4 antique wooden chairs are in the dining area. An adjacent playing room boasts a bridge table, 4 chairs, an antique sideboard and sea views.

Master bedroom: King-size bed (2m x 2m), air conditioning, ceiling fan, side tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of drawers, safe, en suite bathroom with fan, bath, shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. This opens onto a small garden with direct access to the beach and the sea.
Adjacent study with ceiling fan, worktop, chair, internet access, small child bed and en suite shower-room with washbasin and WC.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds (80 cm x 1m80) which can convert to a double bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, en suite shower-room with shower, washbasin and WC. Direct access to swimming pool.
Bedroom 3: Double bed (1m90 x 2m), air conditioning, ceiling fan, wardrobe, small table, chair, shower-room with shower, washbasin and WC. Direct access to swimming pool.
Equipped kitchen: Fridge-freezer, water filter, 4 gas rings/electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee-maker and automatic rice-cooker. A small adjacent laundry-room has a washing machine, sink and ironing facilities.

Guest cottage detached from main villa

A spacious lounge, facing the back of the villa, opens on to a lawned area within just a few metres of the swimming pool. Large wooden dining table and chairs seating 10 guests, ceiling fans and direct access to the swimming pool.
Bedroom 4: King-size bed (2m x 1m80), air conditioning, side tables, lamps and armchairs. En suite shower room with shower, washbasin and WC. Small en suite room with cot and ceiling fan.
Kitchenette with sink and mini-bar.

Swimming Pool: 7m x 3m. Maximum depth: 1m40. Diving is not allowed as the swimming pool is not fenced off, and it is imperative that children are strictly supervised.
The pool area has a garden dining table and chairs for 6, parasol, 3 sun loungers, a round wooden garden table and chairs and a stand-alone kettle BBQ.
A shower room and sauna room are also in the swimming pool area.

Monday to Sunday 08:30 – 15:30 (except bank holidays):
2 Maids service (inclusive)

One maid does
- Cleaning
- Bed making
- Washing and ironing of bed linen and towels

Second maid does:
Preparation of meals and breakfast (up to 15:30)
Please note that it is the responsibility of guests to buy the provisions for the maid to cook.
Evening meals are prepared before 15:30 for the guests to heat up at dinner time.

Garden and swimming pool maintenance – Monday to Saturday

Alarm system & Automaatic electric shutters
Security Service from Monday to Sunday (18:00 – 06:00)
Please note that the security guard has a weekly night off
