Pointe d'Esny & Blue Bay
Right opposite l'ile aux Aigrettes is Pointe d'Esny, a quiet resort between Mahebourg and Blue Bay. Slightly windy in winter, this coast is glorious during the summer months when swimming in the lagoon and lazing in the warm sun are at their best.

Overview

A 2-bedroom semi-detached duplex, situated in a private garden of palm and filaos trees giving directly on the white sand beach and turquoise lagoon of Pointe d’Esny, on the South-East coast of the island. Loungers, BBQ and an eating area are provided in the garden. It is 5 minutes from the small town of Mahébourg and 20 minutes from the airport by car.

Inside

Ground Floor: A small open terrace with garden furniture provides the ideal place for taking breakfast or having sundowners. The cosy lounge/dining room is furnished with armchairs, a dining table and chairs seating 6 and a refrigerator.
Well equipped kitchen. WC.

Upstairs: The main bedroom has air-con, 2 twin beds put together, wardrobe, dressing table and mosquito net. It gives on to a small balcony with sea views. Bedroom 2 has air-con, 2 single beds, wardrobe and mosquito nets.
Ironing room with an additional single bed. Shower-room/WC.

Equipment – Kitchen & Others

Electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator with small freezer compartment, washing machine, toaster, coffee-maker. Small safe.
TV (Satellite channels), CD player, radio-cassette, mobile phone. BBQ.

Staff

The maid is available from 9.30 am to 2 pm.every day (except on Sundays and bank holidays) for cleaning, ironing and cooking.

Neighbourhood

The small historical town of Mahébourg is 5 minutes away and holds a weekly market every Monday. Its array of small exotic shops and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines are the usual delights of all visitors. A visit to the Naval Museum and the typical local biscuit factory is of interest. The snorkelling enthusiasts should not miss Blue Bay Marine Park, as this is a unique spot to discover the rarest coral specimens of our marine fauna. A trip by catamaran to l’Ile aux Cerfs ,well known for its beautiful beaches, watersports and professional golf course is recommended. 25minutes away by car is Le Domaine du Chasseur (well-known restaurant on the side of the mountain offering breathtaking views of part of the South-East coast) as well as Domaine Ylang-Ylang (essential oils).
