DOLPHIN VIEW

Only an hour from the airport, the Dolphin View Resort is located at the southern point of Zanzibar next to the village of Kizimkazi Mkunguni, a traditional fisherman village. As the name points it out, dolphin viewing has been the main tourist activity and remains an incredible experience when properly organized.

Built in a traditional architectural style with white walls, terracotta floors and makuti roofs, the 30 spacious villas are perfectly situated so that one does not block the breathtaking sea view from the private terrace of the other and are perfect for families, friends and honeymooners. “Zanzibar homely feel” are what the people use to describe their stay in the villas, exotic and relaxing. 12 villas are located on the south side of the bay, 12 on the north side and 6 at the peninsula edge.

Zanzi Villa
Classic villas located on the second or third row – all Villas offer a 180 degree Sea view from the veranda and sea view from the ground floor.

Peninsula Villa
The villas are located on the first row close to the Cliff with a direct view from both floors

Zanzi Pool Villa
They are similar to the Zanzi Villa. In addition there is a private swimming pool

Prime Pool Villa

The restaurants offer fine dining with a magnificent view on the Indian Ocean.  The Reef Bar serves the infinite pool and main sitting areas where you can enjoy a nice refreshing drink/cocktail in a casual environment.  The Barracuda restaurant offers a buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch and theme buffet dinners. A separate area is only for a la carte menu.

But before indulging in the lovely dishes, you can have a swim either in the infinity pool which is enchanting with the view of the horizon and the feeling that you can touch it, or enjoy the warm ocean or just relax in the sun on the beach chairs, on the private beach. Or just have a stroll on the fine white sandy beach.

Or for the romantic ones you can enjoy a drink or even your dinner on the jetty while admiring the wonderful sunset with the traditional Dhows sailing by.

The Spa

Eventually you can treat yourself to a rejuvenating massage or beauty treatment at the Lemon Spa where they offer a wide variety of treatments.  The spa includes its own sheltered pool.
 

ACCOMMODATION

The 30 villas feature 3 separate bedrooms, a living room, an upstairs lounge, 2 verandas, wireless internet connection, a flat screen TV with satellite channels and A/C.

On the ground floor, you enter into the villa via a traditional Zanzibar Door or via the Terrace. There is a living room with a dining space, Zanzibar Sofas and a flat large screen TV.

On the same level, you have access to 3 en suite bedrooms (each 18-25 square meters + bathroom). On the first floor, the Princess Salme Lounge is the highlight of the accommodation, a large open roofed room with sun-beds on the verandah .

The Villa decoration remain very simple, nothing luxury but cozy and spacious.
All furniture, Sofas, Couches, Chairs, tables, beds & Sun-beds have been designed for the Resort with a special attention to carving details. Endemic plants and Classic pictures gives the final Zanzibari touch.
 

ACTIVITIES

 Apart from the beach activities like fishing, snorkelling, swimming with dolphins, sailing to the Virgin Islands or visiting Prison Island, take some time to interact with the villagers and visit local monuments and have a feel of local daily life. Or even visit the historic Stone Town, Jozani forest, and enchanting butterfly farm.
 

WEDDING

You can also have your dream wedding at Dolphin View on the jetty surrounded by t he wonderful Indian Ocean.  The wedding coordinator will ensure that all the details are looked after.  From sunset to sunrise experience the most memorable fine dining, tailor made celebrations and champagne breakfast.
